Big History Project announced as a MERLOT Classic Award winner | August 2014
In April 2014, the Big History Project was announced as the MERLOT Classic Award Winner in History. MERLOT, the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching program run by the California State University, seeks to reward exemplary online resources through the MERLOT Awards program.
The MERLOT Awards program recognises and promotes outstanding online resources designed to enhance teaching and learning and to honour the authors and developers of these resources for their contributions to the academic community. Awards for Exemplary Online Materials are presented to authors of peer-reviewed learning resources. The awards honour the authors and developers of these resources for their contributions to the academic community by conferring the MERLOT Classics Awards. Each Editorial Board selects an outstanding peer-reviewed learning material in its discipline to receive the Classics award according to the program criteria.
